The city of Groningen was founded more then 1000 years ago. The city has many interesting buildings, old churches and nice museums. Besides architecture the city of Groningen is well known because of it's lively nightlife. Groningen is loved for it's many nice restaurants, pubs and cafe's, where you can have diner for low budget prices. For tourists there is a lot to explore. The Groninger Museum is one of the eye catchers, but there is much more. Throughout the year there are a lot of cultural festivals.
